Book of December

The Giver by Lois Lowery is a very, very odd book abot a boy named jonas living in a colorless, feelingless all together bland world. ~~*REWIND*~~ In the beinging Jonas has mixed feelings about an upcoming event. The ceremony of Twelves. The ceremony of twelves is the becomeing of an adult in Jonas' odd community. The eleven year olds turn twelve and are assigned to their careers. The go in special order and when Jonas is skipped he's sure there has been a mistake. Why did the single him out? To become the Reciever. That is when he begings to learn about feelings and sound and color. Why can't he share these Wonderful memories with everyone? Why can't he let them know the great joy and love that lies beyond elsewhere? The Giver has warned him.
